Auction & Wine Tasting – Once again we would like to give a very big Thank You to all of our parents who in anyway helped to make our Auction & Wine Tasting event a big success.  The total profit is not yet in but the gross income was over $10,000.  The food was great thanks to Janet Bouthot and Julie Ayotte who not only made the appetizers and dessert, but donated everything.  Thank to our committee: Co-Chairs: Christine Mercier, and Bethany White, and Janet Bouthot. A great and marvelous job was done by all.

Hello Parents and Friends of Assumption,

Registration is at 9, play begins at 10. Meal and raffle to follow.  Cost is $115 per golfer.  Please call or email me if you have any questions!!  Hope to see you there!!

Good Search – This is just a reminder to ask you to please use the “Good Search” engine when roaming the web.  Remember we receive 1 (one) penny every time this site is used by the Assumption School family and friends.  It is free money and we know it does work.  “A penny saved is a penny earned.”

Boston Anyone?  The eighth grade class is taking their class trip to Boston this coming Tuesday, June 2nd.  There are seats available on the bus for any parents or relatives who may like to go along.  The cost per person is $20 for the bus. All other expenses (food and trinkets etc.) are to be paid for by each person.

Mr. Christian Cashman, the principal of East Catholic High School has graciously informed us of awards given to some of our former graduates. Here are the recipients: Academic Honors:  Dante Balassone, Bless Gomes, Michelle Giola, Elena Gandiaga, Jenny Lee and Andrew Kim.  National Honor Society Award: Andrew Kim.  The Archbishop Henry J. O’Brien Scholars Award was given to Jenny Lee. A big congratulations to all of our former students.  They continue to make us proud!

Great Lake Script The holidays and holydays are over, but you can still buy script cards. You not only can fulfill your fundraising obligation, but can also earn money to be put toward next year’s tuition.  50% of the rebate you earn is applied to your fundraising assessment.  Once the $300 fundraising obligation is met, the remainder of your Great Lake Script rebate is applied to next year’s tuition.

Tuition Assistance – This year our tuition assistance will be done with the same company that currently does our tuition collection.  In order to apply for tuition assistance you need to go to (factsmgt.com) and click on Hot Links in the left hand corner and apply.  For those who do not want to apply on line we now have the paper forms in the office.  Please feel free to stop and pick one up or call the office and Mrs. Melody will send one home to you.

Lower your Tuition Bill!  Here is just a reminder that one of our major goals is to increase enrollment.  The school board came up with this plan several years ago that can put money in your pocket and increase enrollment at the same time. $250 will be deducted from your tuition for any new family that you may get to enroll in Assumption School .  This program supersedes any other previous plan.

BINGO Players Needed!  Please join us at the Assumption Church Hall every Tuesday from 6:30 pm to 9:30 pm for a fun evening of Bingo.  Although Bingo does not begin until 6:30 pm, the doors open at 4:00 pm, and the kitchen at 5:00 pm.  Before the game, you can try one of Bob’s famous burgers, or Romeo’s hot dogs.  In addition, coffee, tea, sundaes and cookies are also available.  Please bring your family, friends, and neighbors.  The proceeds are donated  to Assumption School and are used to support Catholic Education.  If you have any questions, please contact Romeo Dube at 646-1326, or R.Dube1@cox.net.

Summer Camp - Mrs. Barry will once again be running the summer camp for our young students.  Registrations can be obtained from the school office.  Please complete as soon as possible so that we know if we have enough students to run the program.  We don’t think this will be an issue, but we need to let our Business Manager know how many students will attend.  The summer camp is for students in PreK, K and Grade 1.  The camp will begin on Monday, June 21st.

Jelly Bean Contest – The eighth grade class is holding a jelly bean contest.  There is a large jar of jelly beans in the school lobby for students to take a chance on.  The winner closest to the number of jelly beans in the jar will receive the complete jar of jelly beans.

Tickets are 2 for a $1. and can be purchased during snack time each day.
