The Development Program at Assumption School
is designed to promote understanding, acceptance and support of Catholic
education among existing school families, parishioners, alumni,
businesses, friends and the local community.
Our program, instituted at Assumption in 1995 and guided by the
Development Office of Catholic Schools, focuses its energy on four main
areas:
*Public Relations
*Student Recruitment
*Alumni Relations
*Annual Fund
|
In the area of Public Relations, our program notifies the parish and local
community of school events and the academic accomplishments of our school
children. The Stepping Stones
newsletter keeps alumni informed of current Assumption happenings.
The Development team works to
enhance Student Recruitment by holding an Open House each winter to
encourage parents to consider a Catholic school education for their
youngster. Also, school
brochures are periodically undated and distributed to local businesses
such as pediatrician’s offices, daycare centers and real estate offices.
Alumni are a key to the success of
Assumption School. They are
living testimony to the work that is being accomplished at Assumption.
We encourage alumni to continue their ties with the school by
visiting the campuses and attending parish and school-sponsored
activities.
The Annual Fund drive is a yearly
program that deals with the financial aspect of Development.
Our fall mail campaign and winter Phone-a-thon remind alumni, school
families, friends and business that the programs offered at Assumption
continue to grow and expand through the generosity of their financial
support.
The relationship among these key
areas helps to strengthen Assumption School.
The Development program is staffed by volunteers who believe in the
importance of a Catholic education at Assumption.
They bring enthusiasm, energy and support to existing programs.
